TXMPA is an organization focused on bringing together automotive industry professionals to create informed content highlighting various facets of the industry in ways that connect with a Texas-based audience and beyond.
We welcome automotive industry journalists that cover cars, trucks, SUVs, ATVs, and UTVs in a variety of media as well as professionals that represent corporate interests in the automotive community.
TXMPA members represent the best of the automotive industry. Media members have engaged, interested, enthusiastic, and influential audiences that span the media landscape. We are as diverse in coverage and membership as the state itself.

Michael Satterfield
President
Founder of The Gentleman Racer® an award-winning quarterly automotive lifestyle print magazine and website. Michael is also the automotive editor for Society Texas Magazine and contributes to several publications across the country.

Michael Herzing
Secretary
A former AMA professional motorcycle road racer, and has been an automotive technology instructor since 2013. He is the host of the nationally syndicated Let's Talk Wheels radio show, an ASE Certified Master Automotive and Medium Duty Diesel Technician.

Alan Gell
Chairman
Alan has a lengthy history in automotive journalism, beginning when he was Editor of the Ellis County Chronicle and the Italy News-Herald newspapers. For several years, he served as an Automotive contributor for the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. In addition, he has provided a 'Cruisin' With Alan' radio broadcast for stations in the Dallas market area and in East Texas.

Terry Negley
Board Member
An auto writer with over 30 years of experience Terry is the founder of CarGuy.com, San Antonio Man Magazine, and has been a certified appraiser for classic and antique cars since 2002. Terry brings a wealth of knowledge to the Texas Motor Press Association.

Jesus Garcia
Board Member
Founder of Jesus Behind The Wheel and contributor to the Houston Chronicle, Imbolden, Xpel, and countless other publications. Jesus is also the creator of the Bootz automotive cartoon series. Jesus currently resides in San Antonio and enjoys spending his free time restoring classic vehicles.

Caitlin Shook
Board Member Advisor
Host of The Bad Blond Radio Show which covers cars, car history, and automotive news and events. Caitlin has also built an exceptional social media following in the collector car world.
